James this would be a great resource for your needs. It is very user friendly to use and applicable to your students needs.

I love a good brainstorm, and can't believe it's taken me so long to discover digital tools and the benefits they provide over a whiteboard and snapping photos to upload to learning spaces later (or more often, forget!). bubbl.us looks user-friendly enough for students to use without too much troubleshooting, which is ideal. As Sarah mentions, it also allows for real-time collaboration, which can be surprisingly hard to cater for in shortened terms with assessment looming.
