Your resume is your walking billboard, so make sure it accurately reporesents the best you in a way that fits your experience, skills, and personality to the position and the company.

I know that it is 2013 where technology rules; however, most global organizations still require a resume as part of the application process.  While I have written extensively about having a multi-pronged approach to finding and landing jobs...this article summarizes almostly exactly my sentiments.  Here are a few of the article's tips:

 

1.  Customize and target your resume for the position and industry

2.  Make your resume the perfect fit for the filter process

3.  Your summary should demonstrate your experience and skills that are important for the position your are applying for

4.  The first page of your resume should be able to stand on its own

5.  Use bullets to outline your accomplishments
