Obama Announces Plan To Make Education More Focused On Tech Skills | TechCrunch | iGeneration - 21st Century Education (Pedagogy & Digital Innovation) | Scoop.it
During the State of the Union, President Obama has announced a plan to make the American education system more focused on tech skills. While there weren't many details in the short declaration, Obama cited New York's P-Tech high-school as a model.

Good point, Haley! We can teach tech skills all we want but we cannot forget people skills - unless we are ok with a society who doesn't communicate person-to-person
Andrew Root's comment, February 16, 2013 8:13 PM
Technology still needs to be a major focus point considering how our generation is evolving and how the business world will most likely follow.
Robert Mesenburg's comment, February 18, 2013 10:17 PM
I agree with Haley's statement. If we continue to push teaching with technology instead of hands on learning then in the future students will lack the communication and working skills with people, which is needed outside of school
