Yes some companies or some hiring managers still do ask unique interview questions. Every company and hiring manager has their own style and set of favorite questions.
What is important to know, is that questions like the ones mentioned in this article are still being asked. The question is what do you need to do to be prepared?
From my humble view: Most employers are looking to identify strengths in their candidates such as critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making.
The key is not to let the questions throw you off course. Stay true to who you are and remain professional. Use your critical thinking skills to explain how you arrived at a decision.

Behavioral Interviews ask questions surrounding not what would you do; however, how you specifically handled various situations. The questions are crafted with specific competencies in mind.
Our method for answering behavioral questions to keep you concise and to the point is by remembering CAR.
C - Describe the circumstances of the situation you were faced with
A - Describe the actions and the people who you involved
R - What was the result of the actions you took (here you want to mention how it impacted: Revenues, Costs, Customer Service, Relationships, etc.)
