Je suis fidèle à Word depuis trente ans (j’ai juste retrouvé une photo compromettante de 1994). C’est mon stylo, bourré de macros. Mais cet outil .......En revanche, pour m’attaquer à la vie de Didier Pittet, j’ai besoin de structurer. De décrire des personnages, des lieux, d’esquisser les différents chapitres, de rassembler pour chacun des notes, des transcriptions d’interviews, des documents… J’ai besoin de travailler en même temps en plusieurs points du texte. Sous Word, c’est tout simplement impensable. SurScrivener, c’est naturel.

Le premier contact avec Scrivener peut être un peu ardu... Mais à l'usage, on sera bien récompensé !

Elle est déjà en français, il suffit d'aller dans Tools/Options general et de choisir la langue française, ce qui manque encore, en revanche c'est la documentation d'utilisation en français

I just purchased Scrivener after using it for the 30 day trial. I love the software but do not know how to use the full range of tools that the software offers. I am writing my first novel and I want to utilize the full potential of this critically acclaimed writing software.

Au fil des ans, Scrivener est devenu mon outil de prédilection dès qu’il s’agit de coucher des mots « sur le papier ». Pour être plus précis, si je ne suis pas sur l’un de mes ordinateurs mobiles (comprendre: iPad ou iPhone) et que ce que j’écris va dépasser la petite centaine de mots, cela va se passer dans Scrivener. Organiser et réorganiser mes textes, lister et stocker des idées, conserver mes recherches (et les rendre accessibles, trouvables en trois clicks, exportables), depuis la liste des articles pour le blog jusqu’aux romans de plus de 120,000 mots, tout passe maintenant par cet outil,qui rend simplement la vie d’auteur plus facile.

I read this post by Jefferson Smith on his cloud-based Scrivener workflows. It is a recommended reading for all Scrivener fans. Though I can’t quite agree on the backup and collaboration section.

Un article pour les geeks. Scrivener n'est pas encore doté de version collaborative (et à ma connaissance, ce n'est pas prévu...) mais il est possible de s'en servir de façon collaborative via Dropbox moyennant quelques précautions.

Personnellement, je trouve que Scrivener est un logiciel un peu trop complexe pour servir de support à une activité de blooging. En effet, l'outil est un peu complexe, riche en fonctionnalité, adapté surtout à l'écriture d'un roman, thèse, mémoire, etc. Pour favoriser des écrits courts, d'autres logiciels plus simples seront mieux indiqués.

Scapple, c'est l'outil de Mindmapping de "Literature and Latte",l'éditeur du logiciel d'écriture Scrivener. Cette vidéo en présente les principales fonctionnalités. La réalisation de "cartes" est beaucoup plus libre que sur d'autres logiciels de mindmapping et il n'y a pas nécessairement de centre - les puristes diront qu'il ne s'agit pas vraiment de mindmapping.
