Narrable is a great and easy tool for creating presentations and slideshows, and it can also be used on iPad. The app is free and it lets you create an audio visual story by uploading your images and adding a voice narrative to them.

Newly launched, Slidebean seems to be trying to do what haiku deck does. Login is with Facebook, not my favorite way of doing things, but there are some nice effects here and it produces clean slide shows.
