Welcome to the Story of , the 33 Dots Secret to Knowing! | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it
“A lot of people in our industry haven’t had very diverse experiences. So they don’t have enough dots to connect, and they end up with very linear solutions without a broad perspective on the problem. The broader one’s understanding of the human experience, the better design we will have.” — Steve Jobs Stories connect people and help them to remember! And you know what? We have enough dots (33 dots) to connect with you to solve your content needs! Let’s drive to the story of Muskly!   How was the Name ‘Muskly’ actually formed? You might have to know the meaning of MUSK! It means something like a smell, broadly meaning- An odorous glandular secretion from the male musk deer; used as a perfume fixative. Well, this meaning comes from the dictionary but from real-life practice, it had a naming story! It was 2012! We had a blog named SocialMusk.com (SocialMusk was a blogging platform regarding all the social networking sites around the web. We know how to use Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, Google Plus+ etc. who are in a top but what about the others?). Musk was used here just to express the virtual smells of networking over the online social media community. This was the beginning!  But in 2013? But after blogging for 1 year we lost our concentration because there were no goals and no mission though! This is why we didn’t renew our blog and someone else re-registered that domain and hosting too into his own name (Because that site was hosted in his hosting company).   In 2014? That incident made us mad and helped us to form another online identity: SocialMusker (Personal Brand of Md. Nazrul Islam, Founder & CEO of Muskly) In 2015? Apptertainer was a fusion word which means App+Entertainer; behind... Continue Reading

Are You An Entrepreneur?

Are You An Entrepreneur? | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it

Entrepreneurs are people who dream big, achieve much and make the nation a better place. Having lived in Silicon Valley a few years ago, I recall feeling the vibe of success as I drove past huge companies like Apple, Google and Cisco that were built by entrepreneurs.

A report by MBO Partners, predicts that as much as 50 per cent of the US workforce will be entrepreneurs, freelancers or consultants in six years' time making them effectively self-employed. Similar growth is being experienced in Australia according to Adecco's Temporary Labour report.

What does your future hold? Will you be the next millionaire or billionaire entrepreneur? How do you know if you have an entrepreneurial spirit?

It is true

Qiufang Chen's curator insight, September 18, 2014 6:45 AM

this article is talking about how to be entrepreneurs, especially in the Internet world. Lots people start with their creatives ideas, such as the success of viber, Facebook, twitter and so on. The report made by  MBO Partner shows that 50% of US workers will be entrepreneurs to create better place in the nation.

People may look at the success of entrepreneur ignored the failure of it. Entrepreneurs may not mix with office politics, while willing to receive challenges. They also may face the risks of developing management and leadership skills.

By facing the challenges, entrepreneurs are willing to push the boundaries, breaking the certain rules.

Are you a fan of Shark Tank? On this show, hopeful entrepreneurs present their product or service, which they believe could be the “next big thing”, to a panel of Sharks—successful CEO’s and business icons. The goal is to get this panel of Sharks to buy a piece of their company to either boost sales or help grow their company.

While some ideas may seem like a great fit for a specific market, some end up being total flops. With shows like this and entrepreneurs like Gary V, entrepreneurship has been creeping more into the mainstream conversation. And thanks to social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook, we see entrepreneurship being pushed as a lifestyle and not just something relegated to the uber wealthy. But what if we introduced entrepreneurship to our students and taught the power of ownership in creating ones future to our own classrooms?

Why We Need a Universal Language for Creativity in Classrooms

Why We Need a Universal Language for Creativity in Classrooms | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it

"When we speak of the education crisis in the United States, there's one fallacy: We refer to it as ONE singular crisis or problem when in reality, it's a set of issues that in the end combine into one wicked problem. How do we solve such a big problem systematically, one bite at a time?"

This post notes that todays "schools are preparing children for the 21st century using a 19th century model." Is it possible for us to use a 19th century model with issues that have "never been seen before?" How do we break away from conventional thinking and embrace creativity?

There are three areas of focus that are necessary for creativity according to this post: entrepreneurship, communication, and media literacy. For more information click through to the post.
