Justin Seeley is one of the most fantastic instructors when it comes to screencasting. Initially he talks about the importance of sound quality and software. He recommends the Blue Yeti and Screenflow (or Camtasia).
However, I think the most important part comes in at time stamp 04:03 when he talks about practice!!
I see so many video screencasts that could be improved with a little practice and also making sure that you have the right webpages open and ready for demonstration.
